Is the bunny peeing somewhere unusual? Is she grunting/squeaking in pain when she pees? Is all the urine red or just a little bit? If you answer yes to those questions it would suggest the bunny has a urine infection. You need to take her to the vet ASAP!

It is worth remembering however that of the bunny has had something with red colour in it, (Beetroot) etc. the urine produced can be a rather alarming red colour...

A reddish rusty color to the urine could be normal if your bunny is not drinking enough water.

What are the reasons to give a rabbit a bath?

The only reason to give a rabbit a bath is if it's messy and can't clean itself. Healthy rabbits groom themselves. Rabbits do not normally need baths. If your rabbit is messy, that means something is wrong! Baths can be dangerous for rabbits, so if you need to give a rabbit a bath you must be very careful and follow certain precautions. See the related question below for details and links.Reasons to give a rabbit a bath include:The rabbit is stained with urine or feces. In this case, the rabbit is sick, or perhaps her cage/habitat is filthy and too small -- either way, the rabbit needs to see a vet.The rabbit got into something messy, like mud, or you spilled something on her, like cooking oil. In this case, you can skip the vet visit although you must pay very close attention to her over the next week or so, and if you notice signs of illness, go to the vet after all. Also, make changes to ensure the rabbit never gets into that mess again.

What is the ideal weight for a 12 week lop eared rabbit?

How many times a week are you supposed to clean a rabbit cage?

There's more than one routine people follow to keep their rabbit's cage clean. The important thing is to keep the rabbit safe, healthy, and comfortable. Consider these principles: Urine starts to grow ammonia, which is unhealthy and smelly for rabbits and humans, so the litter should be scooped every day. Old hay sitting around becomes dusty and -- if gets wet -- mouldy, both of which are unhealthy for your rabbit, so the hay should be replaced at least once a day. Fur can build up on bedding and in the hay and the rabbit will end up eating some of it, which can be very dangerous. (Rabbits can't vomit fur balls like cats.) Wash or vacuum fabrics, and sweep out fur from the cage, as much as needed -- more when the rabbit is moulting. Water and food should be replaced/replenished twice daily, and the dishes washed once daily -- otherwise, bacteria will grow which can make your rabbit (and you) sick. Aside from that, the entire cage or rabbit area should be kept relatively clean. One routine is to limit daily cleaning and do one big clean every month or so. Other people prefer to do a big more each day and limit big cleans to once or twice a year. Depending on the climate and rabbit's housing, fly strike may be a threat -- if so, you'll need to keep the rabbit's environment extra clean and as dry as possible. You'll also want to inspect the rabbit daily for signs of infestation. It depends on the rabbit but you should try to change it once a fortnight. and fluff the hay if it goes flat. it helps them sleep because it helps make it fluffy!

Is it normal for a 9 week old dwalf rabbit not to eat?

No, it is not normal for a 9 week old dwarf rabbit not to eat. Is he eating anything at all? If bunnies stop eating it is always for a reason, maybe he has tummy pain, is his tummy bloated, are his droppings normal? If bunnies stop eating it only takes a day or two for their tummy to actually stop working, you need to get him to a vet asap and make sure he has plenty of fluid to stop him dehydrating. My advise is to get him to vets as soon as you can. Hope this helps.

Is it normal for a rabbit to get a blood blister in her ear?

No, it isn't normal for a rabbit to get a blood blister in her ear. A blood blister in the ear indicates injury, or perhaps some other medical problem. If you notice a blood blister in your rabbit's ear, make an appointment with your normal rabbit-savvy vet for as soon as convenient (within the next week or so). In the meantime, watch your rabbit very carefully: monitor her health and behaviour, and if you notice the rabbit getting sick, bring her to the rabbit vet immediately -- if it turns into an emergency, and the rabbit vet's is closed, bring her in to the nearest emergency 24/7 vet for some fluids and pain meds (at least!) to keep the rabbit alive until the rabbit vet opens. See the related questions below for more details. If, aside from the blood blister, you monitor the rabbit's health and the rabbit seems fine, and the blood blister goes away within a day or two, then a special appointment with the vet is not necessary but take a picture of the blister and show it to the rabbit vet at the next regular check-up appointment. It would be a good idea to get full diagnostics at this check-up (blood, urine, feces) to make sure the rabbit really is okay.
