What do you do with a mama dog who just lost all her puppies one week before they were due to be born she is grieving her self sick?

I am so sorry to hear this. It's heart breaking. Just like humans it's normal for your mama dog to grieve, but not healthy if it goes on for weeks. There are two things you can do:
- Give her a little more time to grieve. Take her for walks and spend more time with her. This may work, but each dog has it's own personality.
- Get a puppy! I did once and it worked like a charm. You can phone different shelters and see if they have puppies to adopt who still need to nurse and if they don't, then get a 6 - 8 week old puppy. I have no doubt your dear mama dog will take to that pup like a bee to honey.

I would also say that people go for males because females get to where they have a period and could possibly have puppies. When a female dog has her puppies you have to be sure that the female is a good dog that doesn't bite before you touch her puppies. Your dog has to trust you before you even get close to her puppies.
