What does guinia pigs eat?

Guinea Pigs can eat the following foods:

1. Pellets (marked with guinea pig)

2. Timothey Hay (that's the most popular and almost all guinea pigs love it but you can also give them Alfa Hay if you prefer)

3. Carrots

4. Lettuce

5. Cucumber

6. Oranges (my guinea pigs hate them but you may give your guinea pigs some but not often or they might get to much Vitamin C)

7. Any sort of treat (sticks that hang on the cage, little teats you can give them or put in their food bowl and many other suggestions)

Guinea pigs are herbivorous so they prefer to eat only plants. They love vegetables and grasses; some of their favorites being romaine lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, parsley, cilantro, wheatgrass, spinach, and carrot tops. They also love to eat fruits like apples, Oranges, bannanas, and tomatoes. They should be offered dried guinea pig feed/kibble and timothy hay.

They eat carrots, apples, silverbeet, cabbage, broccoli leaves, broccoli, cauliflour, grass, some types of weeds and other vegetables.

But they can not eat rhubarb, rhubarb leaves, beet root, lettuce and some types of weeds.
