"TTBOD" stands for "Tenacious, Tangy, Beautiful, Oh So Debonair," a phrase often used by members of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. It's basically a catchy way to describe someone who embodies the qualities of the sorority - strong, confident, and fabulous. So, if someone calls you TTBOD, take it as a compliment and werk it, honey!
At the time, the sole chapter was the one at Howard University. The young women who comprised the chapter decided not to carry the legacy that had been passed to them, but instead planned drastic changes that would leave no trace of the sorority the founders had carefully and lovingly crafted just a few years prior. One of the founders who worked on the campus intervened and the young women of the chapter decided to leave and establish their own sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. Alpha Kappa Alpha re-gained her membership on campus and soon incorporated so that her legacy would be passed down intact. Having learned a lesson from their own founding, Delta Sigma Theta incorporated soon after.

Sigma typically means "Total" or "All" It's used often in Statistics equations. So Just as [Delta]T would be "Change in Temperature", [Sigma]T would mean "total temperatures". So if you had 10 temperatures and the total change was 25 degrees C? you could find the average change in T by doing... [Delta]T divided by [Sigma]T. Make more sense, now?
