Cretaceous period
Archelon, the extinct giant sea turtle, lived in the Late Cretaceous period around 70-75 million years ago. They inhabited the warm, shallow seas that covered the central part of North America, particularly what is now known as South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.
Archelon was one of the largest turtles to have ever lived, with a shell length of up to 13 feet (4 meters) and could weigh as much as 4,500 pounds (2,000 kilograms). It lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70-65 million years ago.
The saber-toothed tiger, or Smilodon, lived during the Pleistocene epoch, which lasted from about 2.6 million years ago to approximately 11,700 years ago.
mammals
Mesozoic era is called the era of creepers. In this era there are three periods viz Triassic,Jurassic and carboniferous. It is found that in Triassic era, reptiles were evolved and in Jurassic era they were dominant. That is why Mesozoic era is called the era of creepers/reptiles.

Archelon was a massive sea turtle, not a dinosaur. Their fossils come from the central United States, which was covered by a shallow sea during that time.
The archelon lived in the shallow seas of North America, near present-day South Dakota, around 70 million years ago. They disappeared when the shallow seas were destroyed by rising land.
