Thats Good For The Kitten!
about 5-8 days for short-haired and 10-14 for long-haried cats
An angry man opens his mouth and shuts his eyes means that he isn't likely to hear reasoning. He will try to explain his perspective instead of listening.
It is perfectly normal for a kitten's eyes to be shut for the first few weeks of their lives. Kittens are born completely blind, so even if her brothers and sisters had open eyes, they still would not be able to see anything. Some kitten's eyes open later or earlier than normal, but as long as the kitten's eyesight develops as normal, there is no reason to believe there is anything wrong with your cat.
It sounds like an infection. Take the kitten to the vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.
7-10 days after birth
Yes. You can pick up a kitten before it opens its eyes for the first time, if the mother will allow you to.

The eyes of the kitten must be open, and it must have fully developed legs and teeth. This usually happens between 3 to 4 weeks.
It is not a very good idea to open a kitten's eyes. It could damage a kitten's growth. Keep in mind that a kitten's eyes are fully open in four weeks. So, I suggest seeing a vet if the eyes are not developing and not opening after a long period of time.
With fur & eyes closed
Kittens are born with blue eyes.
Tabby.
our eyes ; )
No! As long as the kitten's eye looks normal and has a pupil then it's fine. I have a semi-feral kitten who is blind in one eye. His eye is completley gray with no pupil. The kitten and his brother have brown eyes, apart from the blind eye which is gray! :P
The kitten may be a Russian Blue .
Bees don't have eyelids, so their eyes can never be closed.
A 4 week old kitten's eyes are not supposed not to be small since they open up by the second week hence they are becoming big.
