Hi, Worse case scenario is that it could be twisted gut that usually is fatal very quickly THIS COULD BE A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE THAT ONLY YOUR VET CAN TREAT! On the other hand it could be as little as just a sore throat, something caught in the wind pipe,or a bit bigger and could be a breathing problem to an issue with the sensory in your dog. I recommend that if this is a sudden onset and is rapidly getting worse you need to get your dog to the vets office pronto k! hope this was of some help! gl

∙ 16y agoBest thing to do is take it to the vet. It could be an indication that there's swelling in the throat, and that could be indicative of a few different problems the dog may be experiencing.
