Leptoglossus phyllopus was created in 1767.
The Florida Leaf-footed Bug is the common name of Leptoglossus phyllopus.Specifically, the insect is common to Florida in particular and the eastern United States of America in general. Its back legs have a sturdier look than the insect's middle and front pairs of thinner legs. The flattened or swollen look of the back legs makes some observers think of thin, wide leaf shapes.
