Skewbald is a specific pattern of colored and white patches on a Paint or Pinto horse.
Skewbald: A white (or grey using correct horse language) with brown sploges
Piebald: A white (or grey) with black sploges
A piebald horse is a horse with irregular black patches on a gray coat (which may appear white). There are two other colorings to distinguish a piebald from: Paint horses and Skewbald. A Skewbald horse has similar patches, but they are brown. A Paint horse is the opposite - they seem to have white patches on a solid coat.

A horse that is white any other colour exept black is called skewbald :)
A paint horse can run 52.6 miles an hour.
According to my childhood memories, there was an old show with a horse named "Paint.". My father has an old expression that he repeats constantly: "Okay old Paint, let's get where we ain't." According to the website: www.fiftiesweb.com/horses.htm, "Paint" is one of 3 names used for Tonto's horse in "The Lone Ranger" series. It says that the horse's name was "Scout," but that he was also called "White Feller" and "Paint." Hope this helps.

A skewbald horse is one that has patches of colour, but this colour cannot be black.
Usually Skewbald. But horses of that colour can also be called pinto. Skewbald means brown and white patches and pinto just refers to any horse with colour and white patches. Paint horses are actually a breed of horse that usually come in that colouring.
A skewbald horse is brown and white, and a piebald is black and white.
Since skewbald is a color and not a breed, it can be any height. So it depends on the breed of the horse.
Skewbald is a spotted horse with any base coat color other than black. So a skewbald horse could be bay and white, brown and white, chestnut and white, palomino and white, et cetera...just NOT black and white.
Skewbalds are horses with brown coats broken with large patches of white. Be careful not to confuse it with the Piebald; they have white coats broken by small patches of black.

There are lots of spotted horse breeds but the most common are POA (pony of the americas), Appaloosa, paint (especially overo). The specific spotted color is called Appaloosa or paint they are separate from the breeds.
