I would recommend a small, and playful dog. I have a dachshund and he is the most loving and playful dog that i have ever met. Dachshunds are good dogs because they are small and have a lot of energy.

For an average carefree girl, I would say a breed that is loyal, easy to care for, and something she is proud of. ---Chihuahua, Chihuahua/terrier mix, Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, small hounds--- If she has the time to deal with grooming, then I highly suggest a Shih Tzu. My Shih Tzu/Dachsund is an amazing little dog but she does need grooming. I would refrain from an Aussie, Border Collie, Husky, or large hound unless they could be provided with adequate exercise. --- Pomeranian, Springer Spaniel, Weimaraner, Setters, Pointers--- If the girl is really willing to care for a dog in terms of exercise, and if she is of a sensitive gentle nature, then I will always recommend a Saluki. They are AMAZING dogs but definitely not like other dogs. you can read about them on the Saluki Club of America website. I caution you, WHATEVER dog you choose, PLEASE research the breed before you get it. Especially a sensitive breed like a Saluki. Good luck -sam-is-my-hero-

Luna, Daisy, Peanut, or Pepper are cute names for a girl pet mouse.
Yes, a ten year old girl can have a pet with parental permission and supervision. It is important for the child to understand the responsibilities of caring for a pet and to have the necessary support in providing proper care and attention to the animal.
A small dog like a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or a Bichon Frise could be a great option for a 15-year-old girl. They are affectionate, playful, and good companions. Another choice could be a bunny, which is low maintenance and can be a cute addition to the family.
An 11-year-old should have a pet that matches their level of responsibility and ability to care for an animal. Some good options could be small pets like fish, hamsters, or guinea pigs, as they are relatively low maintenance and good for teaching responsibility. A family member's participation in the care of the pet is also important to ensure the well-being of the animal.
