=A lady named Monna Berryhill won a pair of Dwarf Rex at the 1984 ARBA Convention. The Convention was in Orlando, Florida. Marylouise Cowan was the one who donanated them. Since Zoro, the little buck survived he was paired with a small Lynx Rex doe. Cotton was the does name. Together they had a litter of seven babies. Three does out of this litter ,named Happy, Bashful, and Dopey, were kept and they became the START of this fantastic breed.==Happy and Bashful went to Sarasota,Florida. There they lived with Linda Thompson and Gloria Middleton where they were used to start a breeding program.==Columbus was the location of the 1986 ARBA Convention. There Monna Berryhill presented the Castor Mini Rex. She was nervous, but probably very hopeful. The Standards Committee was very cautious about examining the animal. It seemed like it took forever. But after the breed was examined, they approved a working standard for the Mini Rex. There were many cheers that day, as well as tears. The hopefulness for the breed's future was very evident in the hugs that were shared. Ears over 3 1/2 in. in length, and extremely low shoulder; body which is extremely rangy or racy.==There are disqualifications within each variety of Mini Rex. But a lot of those disqualifications are similar in those of other breeds. This just touches on the characteristics that make it DIFFERENT from the other breeds.=
