Can you put a shrimp in with a 1 in fantail goldfish?
Cherry red shrimp (Neocaridina heteropoda) are tropical in their
requirements and should be kept between 65F and 75F. Goldfish are
coldwater fish and should be kept around 55F to 65F. That makes
them incompatible as far as water conditions goes. Add to that the
fact that goldfish will eat shrimps and rip off their legs, then
you will understand that it is not recommended to house Cherry red
shrimps with any kind of goldfish.
