Dist ant!
yonder distant
I timed a small black (european) ant running and it took about 3 seconds to run 10cm. This works out as 2 metres per minute which is about 0.12 km per hour or 0.08mph. Obviously this is only a rough estimate and there may be ants that can run much faster.
2 miles
This was found on the Terminix website.... Velvety tree ant colonies in trees may be difficult to control because the nest is located far above the ground. Nests within the wood or voids inside a home require drilling and treatment. These ants may accept sweet liquid or gel ant baits but success will vary. A professional should be consulted when encountering this species. http://www.terminix.com/Information/PestLibrary/Ants/Velvety_Tree_Ant/default.aspx#Tips
they can jump 2 cm high and 10 centimeters across
Distant
An ant can smell its surroundings up to a few inches away.
Far, far away is a saying that means something is literally far away.
Depends on your location. if you mean which goes the farthest from nest-Argentine,.

binoculares are use to see far away.

Because they are very big. This is the same reason that you can see a mountain from miles away, but need to be close to see an ant.
They can be. Something that is far away is distant. but in "How far did you come", you could not substitute distant.
A Lioness can smell things from 30kms away.
