The Sealyham Terrier originated from England.
A terrier is a type of dog known for its energetic and feisty nature. They are often used for hunting and ratting due to their tenacity and agility. Terriers come in various breeds, each with unique characteristics and personality traits.
Most terrier breeds were developed in Great Britain and Ireland. They were used to control rats, rabbits, and foxes both over and under the ground. Some larger terriers were also used to hunt badgers. In fact, the word terrier comes from the Middle French terre, derived from the Latin terra, meaning earth. Terrier is also the modern french for "burrow". The Kerry Blue Terrier and Airedale, however, are particularly noted for tackling river rats and otters in deep water. Different localities raised terriers suited to their hunting or vermin control needs. Terriers were crossed with hunting dogs, fighting dogs, and other terriers.
A black and tan terrier is a type of small to medium-sized dog known for its distinctive black and tan coat color combination. They are typically energetic, intelligent, and affectionate breeds that make great companions for active individuals or families. Popular examples of black and tan terriers include the Manchester Terrier and the Welsh Terrier.
The best mouser dogs are typically terrier breeds like Jack Russell Terriers, Rat Terriers, and Border Terriers. These breeds were originally bred for hunting small mammals, making them excellent at catching and controlling rodents.

I would think, because jack russels are built for speed which would deffentally be good for hunting squirrels because of their speed. Now a Boston terrier would be good for hunting because of thief sharp teeth. So, yes I do think this mix would be a good hunting dog. It's like a triple threat ;)
