Any light that you enjoy that fits closely to the natural spectrum of daytime light is fine for fish.
For plants you need to find a light that is specifically made to radiate full spectrum or targeted spectrum for the plants as well as for your viewing pleasure. There is no perfect light and I have had good results with all types. Each has a benefit and each has drawbacks.
