Rat I would choose the pet rat!!!
They are VERY loving!!!! They will sit on your shoulder FOREVER!!!!
they will eat out of your hand and eat almost anything!!
please, my hamster Coco just died, she was the cutest thing ever, but she was not as loving as my new pet rat!! trust me!!! :) Chinchilla Chinchillas live a long time 10-20 years so you don't have a pet that dies every 3 years. They have softest fur and feel like marshmallows. They sit on their hind legs to eat rasins and beg for more when they have finished. Chinchilla's don't smell as bad as rats and hamsters. Everyone has seen rats and hamsters but chinchillas are a bit different. I vote chin!
