If you're referring to Lisa del Giocondo, the subject of the painting Mona Lisa by the Italian artist Leonardo da vinci, than the cause of death was a plague. Since little was documented on the common people in the 1400's, not much is certain about her life, or her death for that matter. Many people say that she had contracted the disease and lived to be 63 while others believe she live to the age of 71 or 72; all of which were a very long time for a person time for a person to live at that time.
