A corral is a pen with room for the horse to run around and breathe fresh air. A stable is a shelter with several stalls, where horses have only enough room to turn around and in stalls, even with good ventilation, they don't get as good air as they would outside.
Horses, cows, and bulls like to live in corral's in ranches or pet farms.
Indians didn’t have a corral to keep their horses in. Instead, the horses grazed free on the range near the Indian camps.
Draft horses are bred for heavy workloads and pulling heavy loads, while draught horses are used for riding and driving purposes. Draft horses tend to be larger and heavier than draught horses. Both types of horses are strong and able to perform physically demanding tasks.
The Aztecs did not have horses prior to the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors, so they did not have a tradition of breeding or using them for transportation or warfare. When the Spanish introduced horses to the Aztecs, there would not have been a significant difference in speed between Aztec horses and Spanish horses.
Cattle and horses usually have different fencing. Most cattle are fenced with barb wire or board fences or sometimes a combination of the two. Horses on the other hand need different fencing. The best for horses is wood or metal posts with a "no climb" wire so frisky horses can't get a hoof through the fence and mangle themselves. Although a 3 or 4 rail board fence looks attractive, a lot of horses will eat their way out of it in record time. Even horses that are well fed will chew a wood fence. The new PVC fencing is safe and non-edible but very expensive. Another alternative is galvanized pipe corral fencing. Its strong, attractive and expensive but lasts much longer than a wood fence. If you put horses in pipe corral fencing it is still a good idea to put the "no climb" wire on the inside. Horses can get a foot or even a head through the pipe corral and once again mangle themselves.
