Both are ring like muscles and keep something in. They are both part of the digestive tract.

A cardiac Sphincter is a tight ringlike muscle at the end of the esophagus, and before the stomach that keeps a horse from belching or vomiting.

A pyloric Sphincter is basic anatomy for anyone. This is also a tight ring like muscles at the end of the stomach that keeps the stomach acids in the stomach and not spilling into the rest of the digestive tract.

In crayfish the cardiac stomach has chitinous teeth in it. These are used for grinding and crushing food. The pyloric stomach is used for food digestion. The cardiac stomach is closer to the mouth of the crayfish. This makes sense because the food has to be crushed to make digestion easier. You body does the same thing. You chew the food before your stomach starts to digest it.
