It is called an ice tail. snow chute or frost cap..the clue ice tail led me to the exmoor pony which helped with two extra descriptions of this feature in cold weather breeds. Thank you so much to the person who answered this question.

Neither horses or ponies are inherently smarter. While a certain horse or pony may appear smarter it will not hold true throughout. Horses and ponies are basically the same. In fact a given mare can give birth to both horses and ponies depending on who she is mated to. Therefore horses and ponies are of the same basic intelligence Horse
I dont know about to 10, but Nevada has over half of the US wild horses. Wyoming, Idaho, and Ohio, Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, and New Mexico are also major wild horse states. Im fact in 1988, a herd of 100 thought-to-be extinct spanish horses in Arizona.
Foals.Female foals are called fillies.Male foals are called colts.Foals is just a general term for a group of young horses, typically under the age of 4. Any older and they would be called Mares (for grown female horses), Stallions (for grown, un-gelded male horses) or Geldings (for gelded male horses.) Or if their was a group of horses with a stallion as leader, mares, and the occasional foals, it would be called a herd.Gelded = Neutered
If it is more than a string, it would be more than 3 horses.
they are horses but most people think they are ponies
ponies
They are ponies!
Ethiopia has a mixture of horses, the most common ponies are Abyssinian ponies. I am not sure about Horses, but Ponies I am :D
"Baby horses" are NOT called ponies. They are called foals, a colt if its a male foal, and a filly if its a female foal.Ponies are horses that are under 14.2 hands, but again, are not 'baby horses'.Bottom line, Ponies are not foals, nor will they ever be, there is a big difference between the two. If you do not believe me, look it up. Anyone that knows anything about horses should know this.
Horses under 14.2hh are called ponies.

The horses and ponies are mostly welsh cobs and welsh ponies.
The difference between horses and ponies are very easy to see in most breeds. Ponies are normally shorter and stockier than horses. A pony'smaximum height is 14.2hh.
All horses AND ponies are herbivores.

A pony is a sub-species of horses. Basically you get ponies when you breed horses rated as ponies.
