I think you will find that there are a large number of birds which can defecate while in flight including albatrosses, seagulls, pigeons and many others.
I'm not into superstitions. But based solely on the history of symbolism in different cultures, a bird flying could indicate an opportunity for creativity and some project you're doing "taking off" in a good way. At least, that would be my interpretation.

the largest AND biggest bird is the frigate bird. If you want the fastest ONLY then it would be the peregrine falcon, and if you wanted the biggest FLYING bird it would be a bird called a kori bustard.
If a bird were to give birth, it would not be considered a bird, but a flying mammal with feathers.

Bats are the only flying mammal. While there are animals CALLED flying squirrels, they do not truly fly- they glide.No bats are not the only flying mammals. The flying mammals are Sugar Gliders and Bats
