On their skin and fur. If you shaved a tiger it would still have stripes.
Vertical stripes is great camouflage in long grass. In the jungle , they look like shadows of branches. With a shade, The orange tiger look like it's brown like a tree. In the jungles there is enough shade and trees. The tiger is well hidden.
