Classification is a major thing in science... by developing a classification system, scientists can easily find something that they have classified.. for example.. a tiger in its species name is panthera tigris.. so when scientists want to compare a tiger to another species which is similar,, those scientists can easily just find panthera and there will be a lot of species to compare to ..
