It depends. Wild pigs are mean little creatures. Domestic pigs raised as pets are pretty darn smart and behave much like a dog. Farm pigs are not necessarily violent but can be very dangerous if not handled carefully. If you throw a dead animal in a pig trough they will eat every last bit of it.

If the Presa Canario in question is true temperment...then no. True temperment examples are very high drive and best for working applications. Generally speaking they do not make good family dogs. If the dog is a pet quality temperment falling outside of the desirable temperment range...then it may work in a family home, but even then, only with adult supervision.
