I don't know what makes a dog purr but my 5 year old Scottie purrs when he is happy about something. He has always done this. I can't describe the sound but it is somewhat like a loud but soft purr, soft trill type thing where you think the vocal cords are vibrating. The dog does it sometimes when you throw the ball for him, open a door for him to come in or go out, clean his hinny after #2. Just any number of things where it seems he is saying "I am so happy with you!" It is definitely not a growl.
im guessing dog doesnt like cat
Pugs are a distinctive breed of small dog. Generally, dogs do not purr. Cats, on the other hand, do purr.
Just like domestic cat breeds, serval cats are lively and very playful. They can become very affectionate and devoted to their owners. They have a loud purr and express affection with adorable head butts. Instead of a meow, they make a chirping sound. Some of their traits make them sort of like a dog. They can be trained to walk on a leash, and they love to play fetch just like a dog. So, with the right training they can be very lovable. I hope this helped!
This purring noice occurs when you pet a guinea pig too rough, and like you said, when loud noices such as the telephone or the dog barking startle it. It is basically just a noice it makes when it is startled.
If the cat has lived in one place mainly her whole life and the dog is new it might take a while for the cat to get used to the dog But most likely the cat will ignore the dog if the dog wont bother her That's what it was like for my 6yr old cat and our stray dog
Some cats will purr loudly when they are cautiously investigating new environments (my own cat purrs loudest when it's exploring the back of the wardrobe). Cats may also purr after they've been startled, or after stressful episodes like being chased by a dog.
As a start, Wolves do not belong in the family of cats. They are more "Dog" like.Look at the Latin name. Canis Lupus (Gray Wolf). Canis is Dog, Lupus is Wolf. This makes Dog Wolf or Wolf Dog the other way round.A cat, or the Cat family start with Felis in Latin. This just to "easily" distinguish between the different families of species.Cats purr, where as dogs do not.As of being in the Dog Family, Wolves do not purr. The cubs might make growling sounds when playing and cuddling. This might be interpreted as purring, but is not the same.Other possibly interesting facts about Wolves and dogs.Dogs and Wolves can interbreed.Being so closely related they produce offspring that themselves can breed and multiply. It is believed that our common dog(s) are in fact tamed wolves to start with.Answer:The last answerer was absolutely correct, wolves do not come from the CAT family at all and they are part of the DOG family so they normally do some of the things that dogs do, except roll over!
by training the dog to like the cat :)
A cat is cleaner but a dog has personality and personality goes a long way.
A Male dog... never a male cat...always
Your cat scratches like a dog! Probably they just want to.

You can't make your dog like your cat. To at least make them comfortable with each other: try to let your dog sniff your cat and have them do many things together. I have tried this with my cat and dog to be sure it works.
There are no cats in doodle god.
Your dog may smell like cat pee because it got sprayed by a Tom cat. A cat's spray often smells like pee.
DOG
If you are a soft, gentle person who likes to lounge around alot you are like a cat. If you are an active person who is also protective, you are like a dog. These are some ways you can relate your personality to a cat or dog.
