Eye sockets are in the front of the head for the animals that prey, while the animals that are killed and hunted the eyes are in the sides of their heads! This is because the ones that get killed need to be able to look all around them selves so they can see when a predator is coming!
i found a small skull yesterday with two horns that where facing like a handle of a bike and I found it interesting but was wondering what possible animals that it must belong to.
The Sperm Whale (Physeter Macrocephalus) (Cachalot) is the animal with the longest skull in the world (both in general and aquatically). The African Bush Elephant (Loxodonta Africana) is the longest-skulled terrestrial animal in the world. The extinct aquatic animal with the longest skull would probably be either a Mosasaurus Hoffmannii or a Carcharodon Megaladon. The Titanoceratops Ouranos is the extinct terrestrial animal with the longest skull.
No they have a diapsid skull
Well there are a number of different ways. Lets start with the most modern and recent methods. This would have to be the use of DNA strand testing, like in humans, the skull will probably have traces of the remantent animal still on it, by the comparison to a library of present DNA structures we can determine the Animal. Now going back by a decade or two we come to the use a radio - Carbon dating. This method checks the percentage of carbon that has decayed previously. The observation method is used with the method above, this is because even with the carbon dating we still don't know what the animal is. Therefore from looking at the skull an observer could determine some different features of the animal, e.g. the jaw structure, the teeth, the forehead, the eye socket, nose, etc. This can then be compared to present animals.
No, it's not. There is a lining of Fluid separating the brain and the skull! :)
the only feature they all have in common that i know of is that their eyes are always on the front of their head
No, but there was an 'Alien' skull seen hanging on a trophy wall in the ship at the end of Predator 2.
the major features of a rodents skull is it is much smaller than Barack Obama's. And it has an imbilicol cord that wraps around the entire skull. Hope that helps! :)
The common name for the cranium is the skull. It is the bony structure that encloses and protects the brain.
The cranium.
The animals that lived 530 million years ago that resembled lancelets but had a brain and skull are believed to be early chordates called "Haikouichthys." These organisms are thought to be some of the earliest vertebrates, showing features that are more advanced than their lancelet relatives, such as a primitive brain and skull structure.
Because the Snow Leopard is a predator, their eyes are facing forward in their skulls. Prey animals' eyes are located more to the side of their skull so that they have a greater degree of vision in more directions.
No, it is not common for a baby's skull teeth to develop at a young age.
yes they have a flat skull
nothing
Humans and animals have skulls to protect the brain.
Usually the term Harley skull refers to any skull used in a Harley-Davidson design that features a skull....Several of these designs were so popular that any similar skull used with out a H-D name would still bre refered to as a 'Harley skull'.......Hope this helps.........TatuBaron
