What to do if being chased by a an alligator?

If an alligator or crocodile is chasing you, do NOT run in zig zag lines. Instead, run as fast as you can and look for trees/rocks ANY natural barriers.

An alligator can outpace a human, but only for a very short distance.

First and foremost, try to avoid a confrontation with an alligator (or crocodile) at ALL costs - they have the most powerful bite force of any animal in the world, and can crush human bone with ease. If, however, you do find yourself on the receiving end of an alligator's bad temperement, you should attempt to hold it's jaws shut with your arms - although the muscles that CLOSE the jaws are VERY POWERFUL, the muscles that OPEN the jaws are relatively VERY WEAK, and can easily be held tight by a human. Being aggressive with an alligator will only exacerbate matters, so try to be calm and 'gentle' with one if you are trying to move it/catch it or whatever. I've heard that poking the eyes also provokes them to retreat.

If you have a weapon and/or gun shoot it/stab/hit it.if you have nothing to fight it with,wrestle it (If you got the guts/muscles.) If those all fail, then run as fast as you can and call the police or animal control. (i would've said "call Steve Irwin" but he got killed by a sting ray.)

never climb height or anything because snake can chase u.the best thing is run in big curves don't run straight.a snake has a long body and it will NT take time for it to move straight but it will take time for it to chase u in curves as it follows ur scent.so never run straight.this is an experienced situation.
