Minnows eat lots of things depending on the type of minnow.
If you have a minnow you can safely give it any store bought fish food like goldfish food.
We use minnows in our rain barrels around the farm to eat mosquito larva and algie. We also drop goldfish food in twice per week to keep them well fed. In the fall we let them go where we caught them in the spring and they are often much bigger than their wild cousins. You can also catch house flies and small insects to feed them.
