Chloroplasts are one type of plastid. If a plant had no chloroplasts it would not be able to photosynthesise. Photosynthesis is the method by which plants make their food and then release oxygen to the air. None of this could happen without chloroplasts.

It would no longer be able to photosynthesize and produce sugar. If it had a supply of sugar from neighboring cells in the plant, or in a culture medium, it might be able to survive, but otherwise, it won't. Plant root cells for example naturally don't have chloroplasts, underground where it is dark, they don't need them, and get all their sugar from the leaves.

Without chloroplasts a plant could not photosynthesize. Photosynthesis only occurs in chloroplasts of eukaryotic plants.

chloroplasts are used to make food for the plant from the sun (photosynthesis), which is used by the mitochondria to provide energy for the plant. so if theres no food, theres no energy.
