Japanese Asian Hornet is the ultimate killer insect of Japan, responsible for 20 to 40 human deaths each year.
This giant killer insect is 2 inches long and has a wingspan of 3 inches. If you were to put one of these insects on your palm, it would occupy a good portion. Its wingspan is larger than some hummingbirds in Japan. Even more frightening is that the queen Asian giant hornets can grow up to 2.2 inches long - that's longer than your thumb.
The Asian Giant Hornet (Vespa mandarinia) holds the title for the world's largest hornet species. They can grow up to about 2 inches (5 centimeters) in length and have a distinctive yellow-orange head with prominent eyes.

Yes. This technique is used by Japanese honey bees on their predator the giant hornet. When the hornet enters a nest, the bees swarm over it and vibrate violently to produce heat. The heat they produce is about 2 degrees more than what the hornet can tolerate. They can only do this 1 hornet at a time and so far no other specie is known to do this yet.
