begin weaning the kits at 5-6 weeks by removing the mother from the cage for 2-3 hours at a time, increase the time daily until she is out of the cage more than she is in the cage. This helps her milk dry up slowly and prevent mastitis. By the time kits are 5 weeks old they get very little nutrition from mom. They will be eating pellets and hay (no fresh foods until they are 4 months old) and drinking water on their own. At 8 weeks they can be separated into buck and doe cages and go to their new homes.
At 4 months small breeds can reproduce and they bucks will mate with their mother. Kits do not have to be with the mother until they are 8 weeks if they are eating and drinking well on their own.
It depends on when they start eating solid food. We played it safe (and they were allready on solid food) and went with 7 weeks. Hope this helps
7 weeks is about right! that's when i took mine. don't worry if younlet them go a bit later on. depending on your breeding program, but as a general rule, baby rabbits are eating pellets and ready to wean at 4 to 5 weeks. Believe me Mom is ready to get rid of them.
Baby rabbits will start drinking water when they start leaving their nest box and explore their environment. Generally, they will mimic Mom and drink a little water right away.
They will drink milk from their mom till the are 3-4 weeks and then when they are 3-4 weeks they can leave her!
no. most rabbits are born deaf so you could basically like.. blast screamo music through a bull horn and they would be completely unaffected. they do like to be drop kicked sometimes though!
My Mom's Having a Baby was created in 1977.
After about 3 weeks or so, yes mom SNAKES do leave their baby SNAKES.
Baby rabbits dont really have special needs, just leave their mother to do the work. Make sure the mother has plenty of food and water, and she'll handle the rest. Please consult the link below (House Rabbit Society - Baby Bunnies and their Mom) for more information.
Baby rabbits should be totally weaned from their mom and eating on their own by 8 weeks of age.

The daddy rabbit would but only to do harm to them. You should keep the daddy apart from the baby rabbits. Rabbits do not pick up their babies like cats do. If a baby falls out of the nest box the mom will not return it to it's nest. This is why you should be checking on your baby rabbits regularly comes in, the doe depends on you for help.
