They should have most of their feathers and not down. Older drakes may pick on them and cause injury before that.
A single baby duck is called a duckling, now make that plural. A group of ducks, however, is called a balding.
The baby duck is called a duckling or ducklings.
Baby ducks are able to walk and move around within hours of hatching. They are precocial birds, which means they are born with their eyes open and covered in down feathers, allowing them to be mobile from the moment they hatch.
i would say no so they should just give them plain water to be safe
Ducks will pick on baby chicksI bought some baby chickens and ducks (and geese) last year and they all get along. I kept them together when I first brought them home, but after a few weeks, the ducks started picking on the chicken's feathers. So, I separated the chickens from the ducks and when they were all old enough, I let them all run free on my farm. The ducks (and 1 goose) run together and the chickens have their own separation of groups. They all eat together and of course the ducks and the goose eat first, but I put food out in several piles (since I have 31 chickens). I did adopt 1 large duck (who is 2 years old) and was not raised with my babies and he sometimes chases the chickens away from the other ducks, but nothing really bad. I am pleased that my dogs and cats don't bother my chickens and ducks either. I am getting more chickens and ducks this year, so I will let you know if I have further problems. Hope this helps someone. Thanks.
actullay, you can because they are both birds and some kinds of ducks can have chicks, so yes.
ducks and chickens should not be put togather. ducks and geese are able to be together though.
Take the duck to the vet
Little ducks = Patitos Baby = Bebé Little baby ducks = Patitos bebé
Baby swans, called cygnets, are typically larger and have longer necks than baby ducks. They also have gray or brown feathers, while baby ducks have yellow or brown feathers. In terms of behavior, cygnets are usually more independent and can swim and feed themselves shortly after hatching, while baby ducks often rely on their parents for care and protection.
Ducks are smaller, eat insects, fish, etc. (not strictly herbivorous diet). Geese are larger, migrate further distances, and have an herbivorous diet Baby ducks-ducklings Baby geese- goslings Male ducks- drakes Male geese- Ganders
Baby ducks lay under the mother to keep worm.

The possessive form of the plural noun ducks is ducks'.Example: The ducks' pond is very busy during migration season.
in a nest:)
How many ducks can sit in a pond varies based on the size of the pond and the size of the ducks. A small pond can only support a handful of small to medium-sized ducks. A larger pond can support larger numbers of large ducks.
Yes they are. They are needed to fertilise the egg.
