Please DO NOT use this website because the information here is put by random people that like to either see their writing on a website or have no IDEA of what their talking about. for example I typed in a question "Where do Black Widows live?" And I got...mostly in forests (not even capital letters).

I'm looking for the same thing as you are, but that is the correct answer. The black widow's habitat is mostly forests. What you are looking for is their location right? The least you could have done was answer this question. I don't know the whole location but I do know they live in Maryland at least.

Under litter or sump pump or irrigation system caps; in shrubs, logs, less groomed buildings such as sheds and outhouses, and less frequented parts of buildings such as basements; and among rocks black widows and their relatives can be found.

Specifically, in the western United States of America is where the Western black widow spider [Latrodectus hesperus] is found. In the southeastern United States is where the Southern widow [Latrodectus mactans] is found. In the northeastern United States is where the Northern widow [Latrodectus variolus] is found.

From the grasslands of Spain through the steppes of Central Asia is where the European/Mediterranean/steppe widow [Latrodectus tredecimguttatus] is found. This spider favors grain fields, and therefore is a dangerous pest to those who harvest by hand.

In New Zealand sand dunes is where the Katipo [Latrodectus katipo] is found.

In dry and sheltered areas within Australia is where the Redback [Latrodectus hasselti] is found.
