the spanish brought them to america, they tamed them much like we do today there are many ways of taming a horse. It used to be that they would beat the horse into submission, but nowadays people are looking for more natural and better ways. Some of these people are Monty Roberts, Pat Parelli, and GaWani Pony Boy (He is a Native American, that is why he has the funny name). These ways are far more affective. You have a strong bond with your horse, and it trusts you.
