Various species of crocodiles can stay submerged for longer than others, and young ones generally cannot last as long as adults. Also, most will swim on the surface so they can still get air.The Nile Crocodile has been observed to spend up to two hours submerged, and the Australian saltwater species is reported to stay under even longer. The average dive is considerably less, just a few minutes.A crocodile can stay underwater for three to five minutes. Most crocodiles spent very little time diving and holing their breath. most lakes are fresh water lakes though there are a few saltwater ones.
Not live ones!
It really depends on which crocodile youre talking about. The saltwater crocodile, the biggest and baddest of all reaches 15.9 feet (4.85 M) on average, But some mature ones can be up to 20 feet (6.1 M) or more. There have been records of crocodiles being up to 30 feet, but no official measurements have been made of a "saltie" that big, the longest ever recorded wan 23 feet (7 M) in India.
