hienas
The retard about me can't even spell hyenas right. However he is right it is between the hyena and the dogue de bordeaux which is a dog. Although it is not recognized by the American kennel club it has a bite force of 1,000 pounds. Same with the hyena. So I do not know who has a stronger bite force. However of course in a fight the hyena who would because it is a wild animal. And most domesticated animals can't defeat wild animals.
A jaguar's bite force is estimated to be around 1,500 pounds per square inch (psi), which is one of the strongest among big cats. They have powerful jaws that allow them to deliver lethal bites to their prey by piercing through their skulls or crushing their bones.
Lion
No, an African Lion has a much stronger bite force than a snapping turtle. Lions have one of the strongest bite forces among land animals, while snapping turtles have a strong bite force for their size but it is not as powerful as a lion's.
There are several animals that fit that description: alligators, crocodiles, and gharials.
As in the word 'Tough', that would mean to me the strongest animal. Well if you mean the strongest animal within fighting, that's the answer I will give. Personally, I think the strongest animal on land is an African Elephant and in water a Blue whale. However, if they were to fight other animals, there is a very low chance that they could win. So a snake such as a 'King Cobra' could kill an elephant in just three hours. But there are more toxic snakes than that. The most Venomous snake is probably a black mamba of Africa which it's venom can kill a human within 15 minutes. A Black Mamba would obviously be able to kill an African Elephant quicker than an King Cobra, so the strongest animal within fighting is probably the most venomous snake. I say the Black Mamba, but it could be the Inland Taipan of Australia. If you can find out the most venomous snake that would be the toughest animal. Well, out of those two snakes, the Inland Taipan is the planet's most venomous snake. But I think that the person that posted this question is wondering which animal is best at surviving horrific conditions. Despite it's size, Tardigrade Ecdysozoa, the binomial name for the microscopic organism known as the Water Bear, or otherwise known as the Moss Piglet, it can survive temperatures as low as -328°F and as high as 303°F, 570,000 Roentgens, the units used to measure radiation, 120 years without water, and it has been tested to survive the vaccum of space. I'll put my knowledge about strength later.
No, the strongest land animal in the world is an Elephant
yes they are the second strongest land animal.

The land animal which has the strongest heart is a horse. This is what makes it possible for horses to race.
Lion
Top 10 would be (unsure if theirs a land animal in between just the ones i can think of) Crocodile- 3000-5000lbs Gorilla- 1200-1300lbs Tiger- 1000-1275lbs Bear- 1000-1200 Jaguar, Turtle, Hyena- 900-1000 Turkish Kangal (House Dog)700-800 Lion- 500-700
yes because giganotosaurus was the biggest and the strongest carnivore on land but t - Rex bite force was stronger than giganotosaurus but size matters
yes it is.

A blue whale.
The elephant is the strongest land animal. -However I doubt if even they can pull 184 tons !
The strongest animal is the Elephnt. This is maybe the most accurate list. I've calculated average weight, maximum weight, average height, maximum height, average length, maximum length, speed and bite force (this include trunk power for elephants, horn power for rhinos...) I know that giraffe is a little suprise. Rank Name Points 1 African elephant 35.81 2 Polar bear 35.14 3 Asian elephant 33.51 4 Giraffe 33.28 5 Hippo 33.02 6 White rhino 32.20 7 Kodiak bear 32.19 8 Saltwater crocodile 32.16 9 Walrus 32.11 10. Grizzly bear 32.01
