It's easier with the guinea pig To me it depends on the kind of animal you want. Whatever you choose I'm sure you'll love your pet!! well i think hamsters are more fun and less smelly but guini pigs are easyer to care for
A lot of people have the mistaken belief that small dogs are easier to take care of. This is actually not generally true. People assume that large dogs need lots of room (bigger house, big yard) and more exercise, when in fact ANY dog needs first and foremost TIME. The largest conceivable dog, a mastiff or Irish wolfhound, can live very successfully in a one-room studio apartment in a big city with an owner who has TIME for that dog: all dogs need time with their owners/families and with other people (socialization) and two daily walks.
People who get small dogs sometimes have the attitude that the small dog doesn't need two daily walks or even more exercise, or time or socialization. The result is that many small dogs are actually quite neglected and end up being poorly trained, aggressive, barky, and badly behaved in the presence of company or when on walks. The difference is that a small dog in that situation can be "man-handled" by the owner because a small dog can be picked up or physically forced to do something quite easily. By contrast, a large dog that is in that situation becomes quite dangerous because the dog cannot be physically forced as easily as a small dog.
Another issue is that large dogs when puppies may have a lot of energy but tend to get quite slow and mellow as they age--this is especially true of English bulldogs, Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, and large breeds like mastiffs, wolfhounds, etc. Small dogs have very fast metabolisms even into old age and continue needing a lot of time and exercise even as they age. Thus, large dogs often do better long term in a smaller house than do small dogs.
I short, I do not recommend that someone get a dog unless you have lots of TIME to devote to the dog's well-being: you need to have time to train and socialize and exercise (every day) your dog and raise him or her to be a secure, well-behaved companion. This is true of large and small dogs alike, no matter how much space you have. If you don't have TIME, you can't have a dog. If you do, you can have any dog you like.
