Lung
In Bony Fish (Osteichthyes)
The snake's lung which is responsible for their breathing is called the "Vestigial lung."
The right lung contains 4 lobes while the left lung contains 3
Pigs have 4 lobes in their right lung and 3 lobes in their left lung. The 3 lobes of the left lung are apical, cardiac, and diaphragmatic lobes.
The lung capacity of a bovine (or "cow") is 12,400 mL or 12.4 L.
Since amphibians evolved from fish and fish have one air bladder (or swim bladder), frogs have 1 lung. The air bladder evolved into a lung. Remember, frogs are also able to breathe through their skin.
First it's larger, second the left lung is sharing space with your heart..
lung cancer has always been around
The uppermost point, hence apex...of the lung
The alpha radiation of uranium and radon (evolved from uranium) can destroy the pulmonary alveoli inducing a lung cancer.
It has probably been with people when people first became people. According to Google, the link between Radon gas and lung cancer was noticed in mines in 1470. But I don't think lung cancer 'first occurred' there. I think lung cancer has always been with human beings.
People from high altitudes, such as Peruvians and Nepalese have evolved larger lungs to compensate for the thin air.
