No, tigers and panthers do not live in the same area and if they did they would definitely fight for territory but the tiger wouldn't eat the panther. A tiger could easily kill a panther though, it is the biggest cat, therefore a tiger could eat a panther.

First of all, "Black Panther" is not a real animal. There are black leopards, like the character in Jungle Book, and there are black jaguars. Both of these animals are in the Panther genus, but so are lions and tigers.

So, with that in mind, bengal tigers weigh 500lbs and often more, large leopards weigh 200lbs, and large jaguars weigh 300lbs. That's not fat, it's muscle. Bengal tigers weigh almost twice as much as the black cats, there's no contest.

The tiger wins every time. It's much larger and much stronger.
