Bee stings can give those allergic hallucinations. Virtually any reaction is possible to a bug bite, but hallucinations are not common.
Wasp stings contain venom composed of various proteins and peptides. The main components are histamine, acetylcholine, and serotonin, which cause pain, inflammation, and other allergic reactions. The venom is injected into the skin through the stinger when a wasp stings.
Some animals, such as scorpions, jellyfish, and certain spiders, have stings that contain paralyzing poisons that can temporarily incapacitate their prey or attackers. The venom injected through these stings typically targets the nervous system, causing paralysis or extreme pain. It is important to seek medical attention immediately if stung by a creature known to deliver paralyzing poison.
