Among scientists they are not. Among those with special adgendas they are.
During Darwins visit to the Galapagos island he observed that these islands had many unique organisms, most of which were similar to but different from the plants and animals from the nearest mainland.... thus this indicated how population evolved. Darwin called this "descent with modification" meaning an ancestral species could diversify into many descendant species by the accumulation of adaptation to various environment. His observation described the theory of evolution.
It was where he developed his theory. The Galapagos are considered the "Laboratory of Evolution." Evolution is easily observable here.
Charles Darwin explained Evolution and figured out how it worked.
Technically the origin of species is not really controversial - at least not among most scientists. The theory of evolution does a fine job explaining how species arise. However much more scientifically controversial is the origin of life which science has so far failed to explain (although scientists generally ignore the problem of origin of life and pay much more attention to origin of species - two very different problems). The origin of life is controversial because evolutionary theory cannot explain origins (it's not meant to) and science in general lacks any agreed upon theory for how life could arise from non life. Also there are some serious problems for anyone trying to explain how the vast information system of DNA could spontaneously generate a codex and information encoded using said codex. Such a phenomenon - a codex existing without an intelligent agents purpose - is called an AUTO codex. Auto codexes simply do not exist. A codex is simply a way of representing information using a set of symbols. It is intuitively obvious that codexes exist because intelligences create them in order to record information symbolically. DNA does precisely this and thus at least the DNA molecule must have been designed.
Laziness isn't just related to human evolution: laziness is a driving factor in all evolution. All life evolves to gain the most by expending the littlest, often by evolving complex behavioural strategies. Variants that expend more to gain less are simply outcompeted by 'lazier' variants. So the life you see is inevitably the laziest possible life.
He proposed a theory that attempts to explain why and the fact of evolution works. It is, so far, the best and most accurate theory that adequately explains why evolution happens.
Evolution, the change in allele frequency over time in a population of organisms is a fact and is only controversial among a vanishingly few ideologues and practically no scientists. The theory of evolution by natural selection is supported by over 95% of all scientists and is not controversial among the scientific community because it has been observed and tested for 150 years. There are some religious ideologues who can not accept the evidences that refute their creation story, so they make evolutionary theory only controversial politically.

So they can use the information to solve problems.
Alfred Russel Wallace independently developed the theory of evolution by natural selection, which was very similar to Charles Darwin's ideas. Wallace and Darwin jointly published a scientific paper on the subject in 1858.
what is that
No
they both talk about arguements

The controversy surrounding the theory of evolution often stems from conflicts with religious beliefs, misconceptions about the evidence supporting it, and lack of understanding about what the theory actually entails. Additionally, some people may find the idea of humans evolving from other species challenging to accept due to its implications on notions of identity and purpose.
because that's how this country is!!
It has a high potential for injury
