Men in general have a "presence" that dogs will perceive, dogs react to their perceptions showing us their unconscious fears or their remembering previous mistreatment. Humans can perceive this "presence" but often don't realize it, think back to seeing people in the distance, could you tell men from women? Dogs are even better at it, and again linking that to past traumas (some of the most memorable things are traumatic experiences) dogs will naturally go into a "fear reactive mode".
Well some dogs prefer men over women, because they feel as if they have and older male (like a big brother or sister) and it gives them a sense of security. Some dogs actually despise most men (like mines do) but that's because they feel as if there is another male, treading on their territory, and that brings more competition between them and other dogs(or people)
Most likely scenario is that she is not in the receptive stage of her heat cycle. The heat cycle of a female dog consists of four stages. Those are: Proestrus, Estrus, Diestrus, and Anestrus. The heat cycle of a dog generally lasts around 3 weeks, although, as is the case with human females, each individual's cycle can vary. The Proestrus stage usually lasts from 7-10 days. She will generally NOT be ready to accept a mate during this time. Her vulva will be swollen, and she will have bright red bloody discharge. Then she enters into the Estrus stage. During this stage you will notice a lightening of the color of her discharge to a pinkish hue. This is the stage in which she is ovulating, and she will be willing to mate. Signs of being in the "Estrus" stage, are flagging: standing with rear end presented and tail held to the side.
Its not just female dogs....... they kill the dogs cuz they are protecting their puppies!
Especially if she has been fixed, and there are no male dogs in the household, the female may consider the male owner her mate.
They want pussy.
definetly and absolutely NOT... female dogs are just as loving and protective as human mothers-- do you see moms suffocating their children?
Sign of caring and trust towards the ownerAnswer:Sentimentality aside, young dogs lick their mothers to induce her to throw up food she has already eaten. It is more easily digested by their immature digestive system. Adult dogs continue to o this to their owners in hope that the owners will give them something to eat (hopefully a prepared treat).
yes, they are VERY protective of their puppies. tell me about it man.:L
Because dogs love their owners. They smell the scent off their owners clothing and how much more personal can you get then your own underwear!
Both. Make sure you get the dog from a responsible breeder or rescue because pet store dogs most likely come from a puppy broker who gets his dogs from a puppy mill, that could lead the emotional scaring and aggressiveness.
Not all dogs are protective. A few protective dogs would Be: Rottweiler, Doberman, German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Yorkie, Chorkie, Chiweenie, Some hairless dogs, And Chihuahua. Those dogs can be protective because they aggression issues or maybe Because they are just obeying their owners
Often, a male dog is protective of the pregnant female dog, usually if he is the "mate." Sometimes dogs, mates of the pregnant dog or not, will act aggressivley towards the female dog, also known as the "bitch."
Some dogs are very protective of their owners and attached to them. This is why some dogs feel they need to follow their owners everywhere they go even to bed.

Yes, it happens to my aunt's dog and it's perfectly normal.
It depends. Is the male becoming aggressive? If it is then something's wrong. Males are usually protective of the females and pups (depending on breed) so if it is acting aggressive towards the female then it will hurt the puppy's. Other male dogs will be fine around the pregnant female but become aggressive towards the pups. Do your research on the breed to determine what is the best way to protect not only the female and pups but the male because the female will attack the male if he try's to attack the puppy's.
Dogs bit many different types of people. They might bite someone who is threatening their owners if they are protective. They might also bite someone new who walked into "their" yard.
yes so protective
