Pit Bulls are the strongest willed dogs. They will do whatever their owner wants them to do and they will be the best they can be at it. Whether they want to do it or not. Pit Bulls are the most powerful breed there is and people take advantage of that. People exploit the goodness in these dogs to make them bad and harmful to others. My second pit bull who is now 2-1/2 was a fighter. She was a drug dealers guard dog and he would fight her and starve her. I rescued her from this horribvle life and she is completely rehabilitated and lives a happy life with her 3-1/2 year old pit bull brother. So basically, you make pits what yopu want them to be

ok pit bulls are amazing dogs and they act the way they act from how u treat them from when they are growing up if u ruff house with then they will be mean well and treat them bad but if they are raised rite they will be nice

Pit bulls aren't always mean. It does depend on how you treat them. They are very protective over friends or family that you know. They might treat differently. I have two pit bulls and they have never bitten or hurt me or other people in my family. They do play rough sometimes but don't mean to hurt you. We keep one in the house and one outside. The only pit bulls that are truly mean are the ones that people fight... you just don't do that. I love pit bulls. They are harmless unless you do something to make them mad; then you might have a problem. The only thing I can tell you to do to find out why people think they're mean is... get one for yourself and family and find out yourselves. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I agree with you! I met a pit bull and fell in love with him. I named him Drexel. I will never forget him. I am glad that Drexel got adoupted . They love there family and protect them. Mean people abused them and made them mean.But owners like the person who wrote above me is not like that. :)

i agree with the 2 people above me i had a bit bull and she was amazing sadly she died of cancer last year it tore me apart. of all the years i had her shee not once try to hurt someone! it really is how people treat them. just think put your self in their shoes what if u were trained to fight? what if you were hit because of not winnig a fight? how would you feel? wouldn't u bee angry and not know how to forgive? just ask ur self those questions then ask ur self are they really mean.. would u do what they do?

Pit Bulls are sweet loving dogs that are very misunderstood. they are vey easy to train and will do anything you say. They are strong so they will need to be trained thorughly. I recommend Pit Bulls for anyone!

pit bulls are not dangerous because there only dangerous if they are raised envioment i have had pit bulls as a pet four times and i have never had a problem with them and whenever people say one out of third people got bitten by dogs yes that's true but there are two other dogs too so when people say pit bulls are dangerous or mean they don't know what there talking about pit bulls are very nice dogs if they are raised in a nice enviroment

"pit bull" can mean several breeds, and in most places it's a term to cover pretty much every breed with "rose bud" ears and round eyes, including labs and boxers.

If you mean the American pitbull terrier... they aren't the most commonly fought dog breed. If anything, they are usually used as "bait dogs", or dogs that typically have all their teeth removed, or will be muzzled while another dog is goaded into killing them.

The dog's that do the actual fighting tend to be big breeds, like the bully kutta and dogue de borduex. And even when small dogs are used, the boxer is more common as a fighting dog then the APBT/Staffordshire.
