Rabbits have several defenses from preditors:

Camoflage (their coloring blends in with their surroundings),

they can remain motionless, so as not to be seen,

they can run fast and have a long gait,

their hearing is very good, (but the long ears are for cooling their bodies),

they build their homes in places that preditors can't easily access,

and they have very sharp claws with strong hind legs for kicking.
