Rainforests are primarily cut down or burned by humans to clear land for agriculture and cattle pasture (by burning), timber harvesting for furniture or other products (by cutting). Rainforests may also be cleared for mining or roadbuilding.
A:The two main causes of deforestation in South America are the claiming of lands for agriculture and the exploitation for wood products and by-products.Large areas of rainforest and other green areas are burnt each week or leveled with machines for agriculture and cattle. Many international food companies contribute to this problem, purchasing large areas of rainforest and transforming it for hosting thousands of heads of cattle for supplying their worldwide needs, most often through paper companies. Satellite imaging shows day after day large areas on fire by human hands.
Many legal and many illegal wood processing enterprises go further and further into green areas chopping down and processing large trees and destroying the minor vegetation in their way.
Local governments have tried to impose some limitations but corruption is a problem.
A:Pollution, mining, farming, and logging (cutting down trees) have all helped to cause the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. A:in the amazon rainforest over 279000 trees get cut down a year A:One of the reasons is that it is a warm, wet climate in the rain-forest and the trees are very durable and can stand hot and moist weather. When you are building a structure with wood, you have to take into consideration that there might be floods, snow, or rain. Dead wood can rot if it gets too wet. Rain-forest wood can last longer in wet conditions.Cutting down trees for wood is not bad; the problem is, is that we cut down way too much way too fast. we didn't take into consideration that we might one day run out of forests. That's the problem.
We have learned from it though. today nonprofit organizations are planting new trees where old trees have been cut down.
Well...when you cut down trees you also cut down oxygen. So the affect of logging makes the climate a lot hotter. So if you are a logger STOP!! Cause your killing our world! Thank you! C.E.A!!
One reason why the tropical rainforest is endangered is due to deforestation, primarily for activities such as agriculture, logging, and infrastructure development. This results in loss of biodiversity, disruption of ecosystems, and contributes to climate change.
The lions habitat is getting destroyed because us humans need the trees for paper. Also the lion is being poached, so this could also mean the trees are being cut down. This will also cause droughts and famine.
Depends on the tree, and why it was cut down. Some of my family are tree farmers- they plant and grow pine trees, When grown these are cut and sent to a lumber company to be made into lumber to build houses. Smaller ones may go to a paper mill to be made into paper. Some of the trees at my place may be damaged or dying, and are cut down and cut into firewood.
nobody is quite sure as to how many animals are killed due to rainforests been cut but it is estimated that about 1 millon have been killed so far.
loosing there homes from the rainforest being cut down
To make money for some people.
Approximately 40 football fields worth of rainforest are being cut down every minute. This equates to around 60 acres of rainforest lost to deforestation every minute.
