Since small animals have a larger surface area relative to their volume, they tend to lose body heat very fast when it is cold outside; then they have to expend much energy to generate body heat through metabolism. This is the main reason why very small animals are rarely found in polar regions.

Several types of animals that make their homes in frigid polar regions of the world. Among them are polar bears, arctic seals, and penguins.
there are many different types of animals that live at the Polar Regions, but the main animals that live there are Polar bears and Penguins. A very helpful website is: http://www.windows.ucar.edu/tour/link=/earth/polar/polar_life_intro.html
the tempreature in the polar region is very low thus oxygen gas dissolved in water is not able to escape, thus more and more aquatic animals are found in polar reigion
Polar Bears and most Arctic animals are white to blend in with the snow, so that predators do not get them. A lot of them (not the Polar Bear) change colors in different seasons to blend in with their surroundings!
In the Arctic: polar bears, walruses, and seals.
There are many animals found in the cold regions. Some of these animals include seals, penguins, sea lions, walrus, polar bears an many more.
as the polar regions are very cold , the fur bearing animals like polar bear, squirrel, snow fox, polar wolves, reindeer etc are found the thick wool present on the body of these animals protect them from severe cold.

The names of animals found in polar regions and oceans include the penguin, the leopard seal, and the humpback whale. These animals have features to protect them from cold weather including insulated feathering (penguin) and multiple layers of fat.

Depends which polar region you are interested in. Different types of animals live in the two polar regions. Polar bears, e.g., live only in the northern polar regions, whilst penguins live only in the southern polar regions. Some animals, e.g. seals, live in both regions.
