Different species of animals occupy different ecological niches. Each animal, in other words, has a specialty, there is something that it is particularly good at. No single animal could fill every ecological niche, any more than one person could work in every profession.

Unfortunately humans don't get the luxury of using natural selection anymore because of modern medicine and the views society has. If natural selection were still around, you wouldn't be.
