There is a dog whistle that only dogs can hear because they can hear higher frequencies than humans. However, it has been found that both dogs and kids can hear, but adults can't. This is because as people age, they are not able to hear sounds above a certain frequency. The pitch, in other words, is too high for them. Being able to hear a dog whislte only means that you can hear higher frequencies.

∙ 9y agoYou cannot hear a dog whistle because it emits an ultrasonic sound that is above the range of human hearing. Dogs with their excellent hearing have no trouble hearing the tone of the whistle.
