Usually animals migrate in groups because they rely on each other. For example. Canadian Geese travel in groups because they are well known for their ability that uses aerodynamics. They usually fly in a V shaped form because the leader of the group makes it easier for the members behind him to fly with ease, while he takes on the wind. They keep switching everytime the leader of the group is tired, or needs rest.
