Cats like being scratched so much because it feels good! Makaela Answer I heard various things about this. For indoor cats, it's because it's quite warm/cool indoors, so they don't need all that undercoat. So they constantly shed (although fluctuates shedding depending on the season). Your hand cratching helps them shed those undercoats better than if they were in wild running and scratching against woods and stuff. As for outer cats, I heard it's because they pick up various things in their fur and it makes them itch. So they like being scratched. I've never scratched an outdoor cat in fear that I may transfer something to my indoor cats, so I don't know.

Of course, they may not experience the extreme heat of the African plains, so they have no great impulse to take a dip. The tolerance for water varies from cat to cat and may depend on the cat's previous experience. When people regularly enter their cats in cat shows, the cats must be bathed frequently, and those cats do get accustomed to the procedure. Cats that are properly introduced and socialized with newborns are not inherently dangerous. However, it's important to supervise their interactions and provide a safe environment for both the cat and the baby. Some cats may become stressed or anxious around newborns, so it's important to monitor their behavior and seek guidance from a veterinarian or animal behaviorist if needed.
